Steam surprises

Rex Curtis is the man who runs the steam fair at the Royal Cornwall Show.

And he likes nothing better than bringing in something new each year. Something to get the enthusiasts excited and the casual visitor more than interested.

This year he is just as much on form as usual.

So watch out for Joe Chamberlain, a crane engine that was once used for hauling timber. See Press Release for a picture.

It’s more than an old machine. It’s been virtually rebuilt and is a superb tribute to those who did it.

And there’s more! Not one, not two, not three, but four plough engines.

Getting this lot together for the show has been one of Rex’s dreams and now he’s done it.
